Decorative Concrete Workshops
(December ’07 though March ’08)

Today's decorative concrete technologies offer a wide range of colors, patterns and textures to create effects that rival the beauty of nature. Prairie's Decorative Concrete experts, Butterfield Color, is offering a series of hands-on workshops designed to bring you the latest information and techniques in decorative concrete application.

There are two seminars available in the coming months.

Decorative Concrete Workshop -
December 6th, February 7th, March 6th
After a brief classroom overview, Butterfield’s decorative specialists will give you the opportunity to practice various stamping, texturing and stenciling techniques on freshly mixed liquid colored concrete. Lunch will follow.

Techniques and processes to be covered include:

• Integral color
• Stamping
• Pouring risers with color and texture
• Cleaning and sealing colored concrete
• Applying color hardener
• Stenciling
• Acid staining
• Concrete repair products
• Overlays

Concrete Repair Workshop - March 10th
Learn the techniques of concrete repair and resurfacing using cutting edge products from Prairie/Butterfield Color.

Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – class time for all classes

Cost: $50/person, applied to your first colored concrete order.

Prairie has installed Butterfield’s liquid color dispenser system in two ready mix supply yards with the ability to supply all other yards with pre-mixed color from Prairie’s Yard 9 liquid color bucket system. In addition, Prairie carries all of the decorative tools and supplies necessary to create stunning effects on flatwork, floors, walkways, patios, decks, driveways, interior floors, even countertops and walls.
