Since delivery schedules fill up quickly we recommend placing your order 2\u20133 days in advance.<\/p><p>Prairie uses a central order board system based on your location. Visit our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prairie.com\/fr\/ready-mix-locations\/\">locations<\/a>\u00a0page to find the phone number for your area.<\/p><h2>\u200b\u200bOperating \u200bHours\u200b<\/h2><h3>Dispatch\/Order Taking<\/h3><ul><li>\u200b\u200bSummer \u2013 Mon \u2013 Fri 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM<\/li><li>Winter \u2013 Mon \u2013 Fri 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM<\/li><li>Saturday (weather permitting) 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM<\/li><\/ul><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3>Plant\/Delivery<\/h3><ul><li>Mon \u2013 Fri 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM<\/li><li>\u200bSaturday (weather permitting): 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM<\/li><\/ul><p>\u200bWhen placing your order, there are several important details you can provide our dispatchers to help us dispatch concrete more efficiently and ensure timely delivery to your job site.<\/p><ul><li>Provide your job number, P.O. number (if applicable), phone number, and an accurate address (including town or city) for the job site.<\/li><li>Place your order at least 24 hours in advance (and no later than 3:00 PM.) For the best service, we recommend placing orders 2 \u2013 3 days ahead and confirming 24 hours in advance. For large pours (100+ yards), let dispatch know at least 3 days ahead of time.<\/li><li>Confirm \u201cwill call\u201d orders 2 hours in advance.<\/li><li>Request the proper mix and slump. Our dispatchers can help you determine the proper mix and slump based on the type of project you are doing and the weather conditions. They can also suggest any enhancements like fibers, calcium and non-chloride accelerators, or retarders that will aid in placement or finishing.<\/li><\/ul><p>Follow our special ordering instructions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prairie.com\/fr\/ordering-high-performance-color-mixes\/\">color and performance concrete<\/a> mixes.<\/p><ul><li>Order the right amount of concrete. Use our concrete calculator to determine how much concrete you may need. Be sure to make a 10% allowance for uneven sub-grade, spillage, etc. and round up to the closest \u00bc yard. Let us know what you are pouring (flatwork, wall, slab on grade, etc.)<\/li><li>All loads less than 6 cubic yards are subject to a partial load charge.<\/li><li>Don\u2019t plan to add water at the jobsite to make higher slump concrete. We can\u2019t and won\u2019t guarantee the results. Ask our QC department or your sales rep to help with a mix that is easier to place.<\/li><li>Notify us of the payment type \u2013 cash, credit card, check, or PO number.<\/li><li>Follow our special ordering instructions for color and performance concrete mixes.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Delivery Instructions<\/h3><ul><li>Have directions ready, including the jobsite address, zip code, and the nearest major street or intersection.<\/li><li>Give us the name of the responsible person at the jobsite and their mobile telephone number.<\/li><li>If you need to change an order, call your dispatcher at least one hour before the concrete is expected on the jobsite. Most concrete is loaded 30 to 45 minutes before it is due.<\/li><li>If you need to cancel an order, please let us know at least two hours before the concrete is due.<\/li><li>Stay in touch during the pour. Let your dispatcher know if there is anything hanging up the job that could affect the schedule. Traffic tie ups, slower than expected placement, difficult access and egress, accidents, etc. can all affect when the trucks can return to the plant. Let dispatch know if pours are going to take extra time.<\/li><li>If the job site is difficult to enter, or there is anything tricky about the pour, have your sales rep come to the site.<\/li><li>Assign one person at the jobsite to give instructions to the drivers and help guide them into and out of the site.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Dispatch confirmati\u200b\u200b\u200bon\u200b<\/h3><p>After taking the order, the dispatcher will repeat the order back and give you an order confirmation number. Please have that number ready when confirming or making any changes to that order. Here\u2019s the other information you can expect from the dispatcher:\u200b<\/p><ul><li>Confirmation of mix type and quantity ordered.<\/li><li>Confirmation of delivery date and time (firm or will call).<\/li><li>Price per yard.<\/li><li>Expected unload time.
