In Morton, Illinois, Prairie partnered with Morton Buildings to provide concrete for a therapeutic pool for badly injured Jason Shallenberger, a victim of an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) incident in Afghanistan. Crews also placed a Prairie Pure Color stamped concrete patio for Shallenberger to enjoy during the warm months.
In Eagle, Wisconsin, Prairie recently partnered with Homes for Our Troops to supply 40 cubic yards of concrete to construct a new 4-bedroom home customized to meet the wheelchair needs of veteran Jason Schulz, who lost both legs in the war in Iraq.
In Hillside, IL, Prairie partnered with Plote Construction and the Village of Hillside to provide concrete for the footings and flatwork for a new 3-bedroom home for Operation Freedom veteran Sergio Lopez and his family. Lopez lost both legs in a second tour of duty in Iraq.
